Hey, I just found about your comic today! I think it’s really good, both art- and storywise. I’d like to write more about it, but it’s a bit late, so I’ll return tomorrow. For the moment I’ll just say that there are two pages which were drawn sooo good it really impressed me – 19, with the airship, and 55 with tornado. I also like how Richard, who seems like a typical annoying NPC, turns out to be kinda funny and likeable character. Also, it’s really cool to see progress in art every few pages. One Piece vibes are strong in this comic, and I mean it as a compliment (bonus points for “Zehahahaha!” on one of pages!).
You put a lot of effort into it, and you’re doing a really great job!
No problem! I only wish your comic would be more popular, because it totally deserves it! Anyway, I wanted to say a few things. I really liked chapter one. Maybe the pacing is a bit slow, but it serves as a good introduction to characters, relations between them and the main evil guy. Also, I’m impressed that every page is quite detailed and in full color. What’s more about the art, you’re doing progress and it can be seen. In first chapter, there is a little issue with shadows – sometimes it seems like there is no particular source of light, and every object has the same level of brightness. In chapter 2 it’s a bit better, yet still I see space for improvement. Though I like the overall One Piece feel to the world and story, the crystals infused with blood are a bit too much like vivre cards, to my taste. For now I don’t know yet what I think about chapter two, I’ll see where it is going. Keep up the good work! 🙂
Yeah, wasn’t honestly thinking about the Vivre Cards when I made the crystals but now its painfully obvious where I got the idea from XD
It’s fun looking through my comic once in a while to see my art slowly progressing, cus its only when I started it when I started taking art more seriously and make an effort in improving it 😛
From a non-native speaker to another your English is quite good 🙂

Heh, I know the feeling, sometimes ideas may seem very original, but it suddenly turns out there was subconscious inspiration ;D

*more like “fixed” source of light, not “particular”. Sorry, not a native speaker here 🙂
